Hawaii Congress of Planning Officials 2008 Conference Wailea, Maui

HCPO LogoThe theme for this conference held in September, 2008, was “Planning Island Style – E Ola Pono”, with sustainability as the compelling subtheme. Organized this year by the Maui County Planning Department with the support of the APA Hawaii Chapter, presentation slides and audio recordings are being hosted on the Chapter website as a service to members and the broader community. Copies of slide presentations and recordings of keynote addresses, almost all breakout sessions, and the closing plenary panel are all available for free download. The slides are in Adobe .pdf format, and the recordings are in MP3 audio files which should play on most computer MP3 players, as well as in streaming WMA files for computer media players. Most audio files are of excellent quality. However, during playback you may occasionally encounter a speaker whose voice is faint or where the recording started part way into a speakers’ presentation or the introduction to the event.

The full conference program is available for review and can help as a guide to the content available for download below.

Select an event below in which you are interested to access the MP3 or WMA recording and the slides of the speakers’ presentations.
